Political Intimidation and Harassment Threatens Life of Christiana Sia Tiana Tengbeh

Christina Sia Tiana Tengbeh, a young politician is currently in hiding after her house was raided for subversive materials. This is the not first time Christian’s home has been raided, similar raid was done in 2020.
Christiana Sia including a good number of APC Politicians and the former flagbearer of the party believes the 2023 elections were stolen. This has led to a number of protests and disturbances across the country. As a result, police continue to raid and crackdown on homes of supporters believed to be causing trouble for which Christian Sia is among.
But the government says it is simply addressing rule-of-law violations committed by Sierra Leonean be it opposition politicians or activists.
According to information gathered Christiana’s name is among names on government watchlist of persons of interest. She is believed to be among opposition members creating chaos and confusion in the country. This young lady could go to jail for a very long time if arrested by the police as she faces accusations of participating in riots and organised political crimes.
Christiana Sia Tiana Tengbeh is among vibrant supporters of the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) who has always been targeted by ruling party members. Report states that security forces backed by ruling party youth attacked her home leading to the destruction of her home and properties destroyed. She is now wanted by the police for subversive activities.
Residents in the area informed this medium that the security forces who stormed the home of the young lady were firing indiscriminately and threatening anyone who dares to go against the government. The situation was exacerbated by the allegations by the President that the main opposition party was behind the violent protests across the country and described the protesters as terrorists. This unfortunate situation resulted in targeting known members of the opposition and anybody associated with the opposition irrespective of who they are.
This has led to a number of opposition politicians and members to flee their homes and country of birth fearing for their lives. This situation has forced Christiana Sia Tiana Tengbeh to also flee the country although information suggest she might have been killed.
However, as we go to press, the whereabouts of the Christiana Sia is unknown, and some even feared she is dead.
