Young Man Escape Secret Society Brutalization and Violence

A young man in Lunsar, Port Loko District, Northern Sierra Leone, has escape from the hands of members of the Poro Secret Society after he was nearly killed during a scuffle. Mohamed Sesay is a native of Lunsar, a former member of the Poro Secret society.
The young man according to information nearly lost his life after he was attacked and stabbed in the chest for allegedly exposing the activities of the society.
As a native of Lunsar almost all young people in that township are members of the poro secret society a traditional belief by people in that part of the country.
Report says, Mohamed Sesay has been a member since childhood but only realized that the practice of poro secret society is devilish and would not want to be part of it after he became a born again Christian. With his belief, Mohamed Sesay is said to have stop attending secret society meetings and initiations. He also became an activist speaking about the ills of the society and the kind of practice deem as barbaric and devilish.
The situation became compounded when young boys were about to be initiated into the secret society.
Information reveals that most of the young boys refused to be initiated some of whom had to run and hide to faraway places. Mohamed was accused to have indoctrinated the young boys leaving the societal men with no option but to go after him. It was during this period while he was trying to leave the township with his father, Pa Sorie Sesay when societal members descended on him who nearly killed him.
He was able to escape by the stroke of luck after he was stabbed during the scuffle and most people thought he was dead.
The mysterious disappearance of Mohamed Sesay is still unknown and most people believed he was dead. But report suggest, the young man was able to escape through the help of few friends while other report says the presence of the police help him to escape. The whereabouts of this young man is still unknown and not even family members could tell.
