Police have arrested and imprisoned 12 supporters of the All People’s Congress party (APC) with one famous supporter, identified as Alpha Mansaray, evading capture.
Amid this chaos, reports reaching this medium state that Maada Bio, the flagbearer of the main opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party was pelted with stones, sustaining wounds in the head near APC office in Bo.
The supporters of Maada Bio retaliated in like manner, catching Alpha Mansaray and beating him up. Eyewitnesses said the policemen who caught up with the act arrested Alpha and locked him up in cell.
However, a man called Mr. Sallieu Ndomawah, who is neither a supporter of the opposition SLPP nor the ruling APC party, has said the stone that injured the SLPP Flagbearer did not emanate from inside the APC office as he panted for breath.
Mr. Ndomawah said SLPP youths were singing that either Maada Bio becomes President or there would no peace in Sierra Leone.
Up to press time, police were raiding areas of those suspected to have taken part in the act.
The violence led to the burning down of the APC office and the APC’s Regional Chairman’s house in Bo.
