President Bio’s Feed Salone Takes Centre Stage in Moyamba District

President Julius Maada Bio Feed Salone project designed to benefit Sierra Leonean by addressing food security has taken centre stage in Moyamba District. The initiative aims to improve local food production, create jobs and boost agriculture. 

It also focuses on increasing agricultural productivity and providing support to local farmers’ across the country. The project seeks to enhance the overall well-being and economic stability of Sierra Leonean communities. 

The president who was recently in Moyamba District to launched Mid-Term National Development Plan visited project sites and farm lands within the district. 

The plan, which outlines the government's priorities and strategies for the next five years, aims to drive sustainable development and economic growth in the country.

During the launch, President Bio emphasized the importance of the plan in addressing key challenges facing Sierra Leone, such as poverty, unemployment, and inadequate infrastructure. 

He highlighted the government's commitment to implementing the plan effectively and efficiently to achieve tangible results for the people of Sierra Leone.

The Medium-Term National Development Plan focuses on key sectors such as agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on promoting inclusive growth and development. It also includes measures to improve governance, transparency, and accountability in the public sector.

President Bio used the occasion to call on stakeholders, including government officials, development partners, and the private sector, to work together in ensuring the successful implementation of the plan. 

“It is important for collaboration and coordination to achieve the plan's objectives and deliver tangible benefits to the people of Sierra Leone. The agric sector is one key sector that will improve our economy, create jobs and put food on the table,” the President said.

The visit to project sites within the district climax the occasion while assuring the people of Moyamba of his government support in improving the district.
