Promote Peace, Love, and Harmony in Sierra Leone

The Executive Director of Caritas Freetown, Rev. Fr. Peter Konteh has called for peace, love and unity in the wake up of calls for protest after the conclusion of the work of the tripartite committee.
Father Peter Konteh was speaking on the eve of the presentation of the tripartite committee report that will be presented to President Julius Maada Bio today Thursday 19th June 2024 at State House.
“Dear People of Sierra Leone, Let us unite in our efforts to promote peace, love, and harmony in our beloved country! In light of recent rumors circulating about impending insecurity, let us stand firm in our resolve to uphold the values that define us as a nation, Rev. Father Peter Konteh calls.
He said Sierra Leone is our home, and it is our collective responsibility to seek peaceful solutions to our challenges. “Destruction, conflict, and war only serve to hinder our development and progress. Therefore, let us reject false propaganda and misinformation that seek to sow seeds of discord among us,” he said.
He urged all to refrain from sharing WhatsApp messages that incite hatred and division.
“Instead, let us embrace our national duty to combat hateful propaganda and work towards fostering a climate of peace and understanding.
The respected and vocal Catholic Priest noted that by promoting peace, love, and harmony, we can overcome our differences and resolve conflicts through dialogue and mutual respect.
“Together, we can build a better future for Sierra Leone, where every citizen can thrive in a peaceful and prosperous environment.
Let us stand together as one nation, united in our commitment to peace and progress,” he called.
