Dr. Abdul Jalloh Amongst Selected Individuals for Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership

The Kofi Annan Fellowship has selected one of Sierra Leone outstanding fellow, Dr. Abdul Jalloh as a fellow for the prestigious 2024-2025 Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership.
Dr. Abdul Jalloh is from Sierra Leone and has been selected as a Fellow for the prestigious 2024-2025 Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership.
Dr. Jalloh's selection is a testament to his exceptional qualifications and dedication to public health, and he is among over 6,000 applicants to be one of only 25 individuals chosen for this esteemed program.
He is the only Sierra Leonean fellow for this envious cohort and the second from the country, teppinmg into the footsteps of the current Minister of Tertiary Education, Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie.

The Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership seeks to cultivate exemplary African public health leaders who can emulate the late Secretary-General Kofi Annan's leadership qualities. The program aims to equip these leaders with advanced skills and competencies necessary to strategize, manage and lead public health programs that will positively transform public health in Africa.
Dr. Jalloh received a congratulatory letter inviting him to become a Fellow, acknowledging his excellent performance in the application and interview process. Fellows will be supported by experienced experts from Africa and the diaspora, helping them develop competencies in leadership styles that influence and empower others, frame viable strategic visions for positive health outcomes and navigate the complex environment of public health practice.

Dr. Abdul Jalloh, is among a handful of psychiatrists in Sierra Leone. He has been working tirelessly to establish quality mental health care services in his nation.
Dr. Jalloh is the only psychiatrist at Sierra Leone’s main 400-bed mental health care hospital.
