Liverpool Football Fan Club Supports Sick Pikin

By Mohamed Konneh

The Liverpool fan club in Freetown municipality consisting of passionate supporters who recently held their annual football match last Saturday has supported the Sick Pikin Project with a small purse. The support is to geared towards facilitating medical support to Sick children with rare cases in the country.

Embodying their slogan "You will never walk alone," the fan club decided to extend a helping hand to The Sick Pikin Project. Their aim was to ensure that these sick children do not feel alone, but instead find comfort in knowing that there are people praying for them and wishing them good health.

Having closely observed the work of The Sick Pikin Project over the years, the Liverpool fans were deeply impressed by our work and efforts. As part of their corporate social responsibility, they chose to donate this year's proceeds from the match to the project.

‘The impact of your donation goes beyond the confines of the stadium. It rejuvenates the true essence of being a fan, reminding us that we are part of something greater than ourselves. It fosters a sense of camaraderie among supporters, creating an atmosphere where our shared love for the beautiful game unites us in celebration and support.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the members of the Liverpool fan club Sierra Leone for their dedicated efforts in raising funds to support underprivileged sick children in Sierra Leone, said Ishmael Alfred Charles, Lead Campaigner, Sick Pikin Project.

In light of this inspiring gesture, we encourage other Sierra Leoneans to demonstrate similar acts of love and support for these vulnerable children in our country.
