..The Gathering Faith & Community Maryland Donation

IMG_9474The PCM Hospital, Under 5 at Up Gun, and the King George V1 Home for the aged on Tuesday 9th April, 2024 benefited from donations provided by the The Gathering Faith & Community of Maryland.

Making the presentation of baby clothes, toiletries, soap, blankets, nurses outfits, layout kits, and a host of others to newly born babies alongside their mothers and nurses, the Chairman Mission Ministry Sylvester Ladi Campbell noted that through the leadership of Reverend Ben Rigsby of the The Gathering Faith and Community of Maryland they have been donating to these centers so as to put smiles on the faces of these people.gat

He recalled that years back he came home in 2016, saw the plight of people and decided to contact the head of the church in Maryland so as to provide assistance. With the support of the congregation, they all came together and provided the donated items for distribution to the two hospitals and the Home of the Aged.

At the Under Five Hospital at Jenner Wright, Up-Gun, Mr Campbell commended the role of Rose Bangura during their visits as she was always ready to assemble the newborn babies alongside their mothers to not only receive the gifts but also talk to them about the need for sanitation and caring for the children.

At the PCM Hospital, Sister Umu Fye commended the good work of The Gathering Faith & Community of Maryland and assured that the items donated would be used for their intended purpose. She prayed that the good relations continue as they are always ready to receive them.gath

At the King George Home for the Aged, the Chairman Mission Ministry Sylvester Ladi Campbell expressed delight on behalf of the church to offer gifts to the old people.

Assorted food stuff, used clothes, toiletries, pampas, handcraft materials, and a host of other items were donated.

Receiving the items, Sister Makala Mansaray extended gratitude to the Reverend Ben Rigsby and his congregation for a job well done and prayed that more gifts would be provided from time to time.

The event was climaxed with prayers and a symbolic handing over ceremony of the items.
