Ann Marie Baby Harding Elected Chairman Constituency 081, Bo District
Today, 22nd February 2025 Mrs. Ann Marie Baby Harding was overwhelmingly elected Chairman of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) in Constituency 081 comprising Wonde, Jaiama and Bongor Chiefdoms in the Bo District. Mrs. Harding secured 21 votes while her opponent secured 9 votes in a very transparent election.
Contrary to wide apprehension that Mrs. Harding would lean on the influence of her husband Dr. Prince Alex Harding, curret NationalChairmanof theSLPP, her people literally pleaded with her to take over the political leadership of her home for the good of her people whose support for SLPP has remained unfettered and undiluted.
Addressing the mammoth gathering after her landside win, Mrs. Harding congratulated her colleagues for the peace and decorum maintained throughout the process and assured her colleagues in the new Executive that her leadership will be consultative, transformative and purposeful to advance the course of SLPP and the development aspirations of her people. She expressed her gratitude to family members, friends, Party leadership, traditional authorities for their love and commitment towards her ambition and the SLPP in particular.
Mrs. Harding has impeccably served the SLPP for nearly 25 years in various areas and her role in the Party has been critical for the Party's success since 1996 to date. She won the election in the absence of her darling husband Dr. Prince Alex Harding aka the Bullet.
